The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection has taken this action on various complaints including the use of unauthorized colors in food.
Anisul Rahman, assistant director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, Chattogram conducted the operation on Monday (April 10) afternoon.
Anisul Rahman said for the crime of using unauthorized food coloring, storing stale food, making Beguna from insect-eaten eggplant, and using unfit potatoes for cooking, the Kacchi Dine of Chowkbazar has been fined Tk 2.5 lakh. Besides, the restaurant has been temporarily sealed.
