Man stabbed to death 'over Tk 100'
A man was allegedly killed by his friend over Tk 100 in Mymensingh’s Akua on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Nahid (25), son of Dus Mohammad of the Akua area of Mymensingh. The accused, Hridoy, was arrested by the police. UNB
Shah Kamal Akand, the officer-in-charge of Kotwali model police station said Nahid recently borrowed Tk 100 from Hridoy. On the day of the incident, the two friends had a heated argument over the payment of the loan on time. At one point, Hridoy stabbed Nahid's stomach with a piece of glass. Nahid was seriously injured in the attack.
The locals rescued him and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead, the OC said.
On information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Legal process is underway regarding the murder, the OC said.
