Police recovered the dismembered bodies of two women and a child from Siddhirganj of Narayanganj on Friday.

The bodies, stuffed in sacks, were found around 1pm on the bank of a pond in the Mizmizi West Para area of Siddhirganj, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shahinur Alam of Siddhirganj Police Station.

Quoting a local source, police said the women were identified as Lamia and Swapna and Habib. Their detailed addresses were yet to be confirmed, reports UNB.

Locals spotted dismembered bodies packed in sacks in the Mizmizi area and informed the police, said the OC.

Law enforcers from the police station and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) went to the scene and were working to identify the victims properly and find out details about the murder, the OC said

Further information would be provided later, he added.
