Ex Minister Kamal Ibne Yusuf’s Wife Passes Away

Chowdhury Shaila Kamal, the wife of late BNP leader and former minister Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf, passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 78. She breathed her last at 5:30 AM while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, according to her daughter, Chowdhury Nayeba Yusuf, the convener of the Dhaka North City unit of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal.


Her first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Gulshan Azad Mosque in Dhaka. Following the ceremony, her body was taken to Faridpur, where the second Janaza was conducted at Kamalapur Moez Uddin High School ground. Afterward, she was laid to rest at her family’s graveyard.

Shaila Kamal’s husband, Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf, passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 80, due to complications from COVID-19.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed his heartfelt condolences, praying for the peace of her soul and offering sympathy to the grieving family.

In separate messages, BNP Mohila Dal President Afroza Abbas and General Secretary Sultana Ahmed also expressed deep sorrow at her passing.
