Tarique, Erdogan discuss expanding Bangladesh-Türkiye trade ties

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a high-level meeting was held at the Turkish House at 821 United Nations Plaza on Tuesday.

New York, Sept 22 - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed ways to expand cooperation between Bangladesh and Türkiye in the areas of economy, trade and investment during a meeting in New York on Tuesday.

The high-level meeting was held at the Turkish House at 821 United Nations Plaza.

The two leaders exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest and discussed the scope for further expanding existing cooperation in the economic, trade and investment sectors.

They also discussed important regional and international issues and stressed the need for continued close cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

The two leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Türkiye and opening up new areas of cooperation based on mutual interests and shared priorities. - UNB
