Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, confirmed on Thursday that mission heads in the US, including Ambassador Siam, have been invited as part of the customary practice. Siam will represent the government of Bangladesh, and there has been no deviation from the tradition.

He expressed confidence that relations with the US under Trump’s presidency would continue smoothly, emphasizing Bangladesh’s aim to maintain balanced relations with the US, India, and China to safeguard its own interests.
Trump, meanwhile, is preparing a series of executive orders to be enacted on his first day in office, focusing on border security, deportations, and other key policies, according to an AP report. His top adviser, Stephen Miller, shared details of the upcoming initiatives with Republican senators.
