BD Envoy to Mexico Calls for Stronger Diplomatic, Trade Ties

Bangladesh's new Ambassador to Mexico, M. Mushfiqul Fazal (Ansarey), has emphasized the need to accelerate the process of establishing a Mexican Embassy in Dhaka to strengthen diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries.
The ambassador made the statement during a meeting with Jonathan Chait Auerbach, Chief of Protocol at the Mexican Foreign Ministry, where he also presented a copy of his letter of credence in Mexico City on Thursday.
Ambassador Fazal will officially present his credentials to the Mexican President at a later date.
During the meeting, Fazal highlighted the long-standing and cordial relationship between Bangladesh and Mexico, expressing gratitude for Mexico’s continued support and cooperation. He also discussed the key reforms introduced by Bangladesh's interim government under Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, focusing on good governance, political reforms, economic development, and ensuring a fair and inclusive election process.
In response, Chief of Protocol Auerbach praised Ambassador Fazal for his tireless advocacy of human rights, democracy, and press freedom globally.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing ties between Bangladesh and Mexico. Fernando González Saiffe, Director General for Asia-Pacific at the Mexican Foreign Ministry, was also present at the meeting.
