Pakistan deputy PM is due in Dhaka on August 23 for talks

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to arrive in Dhaka on August 23 for a bilateral visit aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

Dar is scheduled to hold talks with Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on August 24, a senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.

“The visit will focus on strengthening diplomatic ties and exploring opportunities for constructive dialogue,” the official said, noting that further details will be announced later.

Dar was originally expected to visit Bangladesh in April, but the trip was postponed due to heightened regional tensions between Pakistan and India.

Officials see the upcoming visit as part of renewed efforts by both nations to engage in dialogue on issues of mutual interest.
