8 more die of dengue, 1740 hospitalised

According to a statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 1,740 new dengue patients were hospitalized over the period.



Eight more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Monday (November 13), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 1,740.

According to a statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 1,740 new dengue patients were hospitalized over the period.

Of the new cases, 330 are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka and 1,410 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals outside Dhaka.

With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 2,93,572, the statement said, adding: “This year, some 2,86,071 patients were released from different hospitals out of the total patients.”
