67 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

A total of sixty-seven dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.


“During the period, 41 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, eight in Chattogram, eight in Dhaka division, five in Dhaka North, two in Dhaka South, one in Sylhet and two were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 3,704 while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year, reports BSS.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
