Chattogram, Oct 04 - The bodies of two missing tourists were recovered this afternoon from Rupsi Jharna, a waterfall in Mirsarai, Chattogram.

A search and rescue team from the Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defence recovered the bodies around 1 PM, said Imam Hossain Patwari, the station officer. The tourists' identities have yet to be confirmed.

Eyewitnesses said, the two individuals had been visiting the waterfall but tragically drowned, prompting a rescue operation by the fire service.

Imam Hossain Patwari stated that the diving team began their search at around 11 AM, after receiving the report of the missing tourists. The bodies were recovered two hours later.

The incident comes just days after another tragedy on September 27, when a bank official died after being struck by a falling stone at the nearby Khaiachhara Jharna (waterfall).-UNB
