Saudi Arabia Introduces New Rules for Multiple-Entry Umrah Visas

Saudi Arabia has introduced new mandatory requirements for pilgrims holding multiple-entry Umrah visas, requiring them to complete additional procedures before each visit to the Kingdom.

Under the new rules, a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa alone will not be sufficient. Pilgrims must book an approved Umrah service package and obtain an Umrah permit before each trip.

The multiple-entry Umrah visa, introduced in July, is valid for 365 days from the date of issuance and allows holders to enter Saudi Arabia multiple times during the visa’s validity period.

However, their total stay in the Kingdom cannot exceed 90 days.

Before each visit, pilgrims must purchase the required service package through the Nusuk platform from an approved Umrah service provider.

They must also obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before travelling to Saudi Arabia.

The dates stated on the Umrah permit must correspond with the dates covered by the approved service package. The validity of the package cannot extend beyond the remaining validity period of the visa.

Saudi authorities will record pilgrims’ entry and exit details to monitor their total stay and ensure that they do not exceed the 90-day limit.

The new requirements mean that holders of multiple-entry Umrah visas must repeat the service-booking and permit process before each Umrah trip, even though their visa remains valid for one year.
