Erdogan urges global support to counter Israel’s ‘aggressive actions’

Erdogan made the remarks during a meeting in New York with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah, held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Erdogan, Turkey and Kuwait are seeking to deepen cooperation across several areas, with trade and energy among the key priorities. The discussions also focused on regional developments and the need for continued diplomatic engagement, as tensions involving Israel and other actors in the Middle East remain a major concern for governments across the region.

Erdogan has repeatedly urged the international community to take a more active role in addressing regional conflicts and supporting diplomatic efforts. Turkey has also maintained close diplomatic contacts with Arab states as it seeks to strengthen regional cooperation.

The meeting with Kuwait’s crown prince highlights Ankara’s efforts to expand bilateral ties while coordinating with Gulf countries on political and economic issues. Trade and energy cooperation remain important elements of the relationship between Turkey and Kuwait, alongside broader efforts to strengthen ties between the two countries.
