In a Facebook post, Tisha wrote that a medical board meeting earlier in the day decided on the operation, which lasted about two hours.
“Alhamdulillah, the operation has been successfully completed and he is now under post-operative observation and gradually on the path to recovery. Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery,” she said.
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Tisha had informed that a medical board meeting was scheduled for 3 pm to determine the next steps in Farooki’s treatment, urging people not to be misled by unverified information.
On Saturday night, she shared that Farooki had fallen ill while attending a ministry workshop in Cox’s Bazar and was brought back to Dhaka for treatment, reports UNB.
Doctors said he became unwell due to excessive work pressure, but assured that he was out of danger at the time.
