Jeddah, 18-08-2025 - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemns the provocative visit made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation to the "Ofra" settlement illegally established in the occupied West Bank. The visit was accompanied by racist statements in which he affirmed "the importance of preserving settlements and holding on to the Land of Israel”. He also declared that he "will do everything to ensure continued attachment to the Land of Israel and to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state."

The OIC affirms that this constitutes a further escalation of Israel’s blatant violations of international law and UN resolutions, particularly UN Security Council Resolution 2334 and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, both of which affirm the illegality of the Israeli occupation and settlement activity and call for their immediate termination.

The OIC also asserts that the visit and the aggressive rhetoric reflect Israel’s expansionist and colonial intentions, as the occupying power, and its persistent defiance of the will of the international community, as well as its undermining of all efforts aimed at “achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the two-state solution”.

The OIC calls on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to shoulder its responsibilities in ending the Israeli occupation and colonial settlement activity, and to ensure international protection for the Palestinian people. – OIC News
