ICT Prosecutor Banna resigns on health ground

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecutor Md Hasanul Banna has resigned from his post on Tuesday.


Banna resigned from his post citing illness, said Prosecutor Gazi HM Tamim while talking to reporters.

Due to physical illness, Banna sent a letter to the chief prosecutor of ICT asking to be  relieved from his duties.

The chief prosecutor approved his application and forwarded it to the Ministry of Law, reports UNB. 

Banna said has been suffering from jaundice and liver-related diseases for a long time.

He was appointed as prosecutor of ICT on January 1.
