PM offers ziarat at graves of Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia

Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today offered ziarat at the graves of his father, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, after the presidential election.
The Prime Minister offered the ziarat at the graves of his parents at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital around 6:00pm, said Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.
He said Tarique Rahman came to the mausoleum complex from the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and stood before the graves of his parents to recite Fateha and offer prayers seeking eternal peace for their souls.
The Additional Press Secretary said the Prime Minister also stood silently by himself for some time before offering the prayers.
Tarique Rahman then went to the BNP Chairman's Political Office in Gulshan, where he offered Maghrib prayers and joined an organisational meeting with BNP leaders from Rajshahi, Pabna and Chapainawabganj districts, reports BSS.
