Shakib Al Hasan Fined Tk 50 Lakh for Stock Manipulation

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has imposed a Tk 50 lakh fine on renowned cricketer Shakib Al Hasan for manipulating the stock prices of Paramount Insurance. The decision was announced in a press release today.


Shakib's business partner, Abul Khayer Hiru, has also faced repercussions, receiving a Tk 25 lakh fine.

In addition to Shakib and Hiru, several entities linked to the case have been penalized, including Eshaal Communication, Shakib’s company Monarch Mart, Abul Kalam Matber, Lava Electrodes Industries, and Zahed Kamal, all accused of involvement in the alleged manipulation.
