Govt Condemns Arson Attack on Tripura Homes in Bandarban

The interim government has strongly condemned the arson attack on the homes of the Tripura community in Lama upazila, Bandarban district.


According to Bandarban police, officers have been deployed to the scene, and raids are underway to apprehend those responsible. An FIR has been filed regarding the incident, as confirmed by Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, in a statement on Thursday morning.

The Deputy Commissioner and police chief of Bandarban are scheduled to visit the village on Thursday to oversee the situation. They have been directed to provide full support for the reconstruction of the damaged homes.

In response to the attack, authorities have heightened security measures in the area, Azad added.
