The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate drives arrested 45 people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
A DMP statement on Saturday said the drives were conducted from 6am on Friday to 6am on Saturday and arrested the drug sellers and abusers.
They seized 2,393 pieces of Yaba tablets, 58gm of heroin, 56 bottles of phensedyl, and 9.915kg hemp from their possessions, the statement said.
A total of 32 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act, it said.
