Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Labor Reform Commission, emphasized that unity is essential for establishing a society free from discrimination and securing labor rights.

"In order to gain strength and make meaningful progress, a well-organized movement is crucial. The Labour Reform Commission is actively working to modernize labor laws with the goal of creating a just and equitable society. We must stay united in our efforts to ensure fair rights and uphold the dignity of workers," he stated.

He shared these thoughts while addressing the general meeting of the Bangladesh Labour Congress (BLC) at the National Press Club today, where he served as the chief guest.

The meeting, presided over by BLC President Abu Eusuf Mollah and moderated by General Secretary Nazma Akhter, also featured remarks from Labour Court Bar Association President Abdust Sattar and Awaj Foundation Chairman Momtaj Begum.

BLC General Secretary Nazma Akhter highlighted the organization's ongoing commitment to labor rights, stating, "We will continue to advocate for the establishment of a dignified minimum wage, the enactment of democratic labor laws, decent employment opportunities, safe working conditions, universal social security in the face of climate change, and the right to freely form trade unions. Our aim is to build responsible trade unions and ensure fair participation for all."

This event underscored the collective resolve to create an inclusive and equitable society for workers across the country.
