Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam today said the country’s people will show red card against tyranny by voting 'Yes' in the upcoming national elections and referendum.

He made the remarks while talking to journalists at Brahmanbaria Circuit House this morning.

Shafiqul Alam said there is no discussion on reconciliation. “Have you heard any apology from the Awami League? Yesterday (Thursday), a former minister of the Awami League made a kind of mockery about the blood of martyrs. We do not see any sign of regret among them,” he said.

He said nobody will give them (AL leaders) a place in our society, while the murderers will have a place in jail.

Regarding the referendum, the press secretary said people will give ‘Yes’ vote and show red card against tyranny, reports BSS.

“They will show red card against the politics of disappearances and murders that had been going on for 16 years. Through 'Yes' vote, the path of good governance will be created,” he added.

Shafiqul Alam hoped that this year’s election would be free, fair, peaceful and festive one.
