Faruk Wasif appointed as PIB DG

Journalist and author Faruk Wasif has been reappointed as the Director General of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) for a two-year term.


“This recruitment will come into effect on the day he joins," according to a gazette notification issued by the Public Administration Ministry on Wednesday.

Earlier, Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) Director General Zafar Wazed resigned from his post following protests by officials and employees of the institute, reports UNB.
