Thursday February 29 is the leap day of the leap year 2024. The month of February which normally comprise 28 days gains this extra day once every four years.

In counting of the year astronomers have found the Earth's revolving round the Sun takes 365 days and six hours. These six hours are counted to total 24 hours which makes a full day every four years.

Google has made a doodle to remind the people around of the globe of this this interesting leap day and the leap year. It shows a frog leaping from one floating lily leap to another.
