Discussion meeting held in Kalapara on how to protect the Andharmanik river.



Patuakhali: An exchange of views on 'Obstacles in the Protection of the Rivers of Bangladesh reference Andharmanik River' was held at Kalapara in Patuakhali. At 11:30 am on Saturday, two non-governmental development organizations named Dharitri Raksha Amara (Dhara) and Water Keepers Bangladesh organized this exchange meeting.

Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Apu Saha, Panel Mayor of Kalapara Municipality Md. Humayun Kabir also spoke in the view exchange meeting as honourable guest, Kalapara press club president Md. Humayun Kabir in the chair.

At the beginning of the exchange meeting, Iqbal Farooq, program manager of Water Keepers Bangladesh, presented the research findings on Andharmanik River. Media worker Nesser Uddin Ahmed Tipu, Jasim Parvez, Milon worker Raju, Sujan Mridha, farmer Farid Talukder among others spoke in the exchange meeting. The program was moderated by journalist Mejbah Uddin Mannu.
