Rain and Thundershowers Expected Across Parts of the Country

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers in various regions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 AM today.


According to the BMD’s bulletin, scattered rain or thundershowers are expected to occur at one or two locations across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

Additionally, light to moderate fog is likely to form in some areas from late night into the early morning hours.

The bulletin also noted a slight drop in temperatures, with night temperatures expected to decrease slightly and day temperatures to fall by 1 to 3°C across the country.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature recorded was 34.5°C in both Cox's Bazar and Ambagan in the Chattogram division, while the minimum temperature was 15.0°C at Rajarhat in Rangpur division.

The highest rainfall in the past 24 hours, as of 6:00 AM today, was 47 millimeters (mm) recorded at Aricha in Dhaka division.

In the capital, the sun will set at 5:58 PM today and rise at 6:25 AM tomorrow.
