CU teacher killed as private car hits scooter
A teacher of the Chittagong University (CU) was killed as a speedy private car hit his scooter at Hathazari road .
A teacher of the Chittagong University (CU) was killed as a speedy private car hit his scooter at Hathazari road in the university’s gate no. 1 area early Saturday (September 3).
The incident took place at around 12:30 am.
The deceased was identified as Aftab Hossain, 41, an associate professor of zoology department of the university.
Md Sadequr Rahman, inspector (investigation) of Panchlaish police station, said that Aftab Hossain was critically injured when a speedy private car hit his scooter at Hathazari road in the university’s gate no. 1 area at around 12:30 am.
Later, he was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Police detained the driver of the private car in this connection.
