SAU Extnsion Field Trip 2024 in Ramu.

The students of Level-4, Semester-1 of Department of Agricultural Extension and Information System (AEISD), Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka has performed their Extension Field Trip in Cox’s Bazar and Ramu from 4 to 14 November, 2024. Nearly 300 undergraduate students with 10 supervising Faculties of the University took part in the field trip. Prof. Md. Abul Basher Treasurer of SAU (also Chairman of AEISD) joined the trip as a special guest. As a part of the extension field trip, they visited the Ramu Upazila with a view to get acquainted the function and working system of various Upazila Offices and officials.
An orientation program was organized by the Upazila Agriculture Office. The session was addresses by different officers including agriculture, fisheries and related fields. Upzila Agriculture Officer (UAO) of Ramu Tanzila Rahman coordinated the entire program. In her speech she emphasized on the importance of Field Trips for enhancing Practical Knowledge of University students.
Knowledge gathered through field trip reinforces their textbook knowledge and boost their confidence in applying it in real-life scenarios.
Prof. Dr. Mahbubul Alam of AEISD who led the whole team along with all expressed their satisfaction at the arrangement made by the Upazila Agriculture Office and UAO. They spend the whole day at the Ramu Upazila with having launch. SAU Treasurer Prof. Md. Abul Basher expressed thanks to all the Upazila Officers including UAO Tanzila Rahman who made the program a success.
