Earlier on November 30 last year, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) submitted chargesheet to the court against 15 people including the registrar of the state-run National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital (NIMH) Dr Abdullah Al Mamun in the case filed over the murder of ASP Anisul Karim Shipon. PBI Inspector (Unarmed) AKM Nasir Ullah, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted the chargesheet.

Anisul had been suffering from mental illness and was brought to Dhaka’s Mind Aid Hospital for treatment around 11:45am on November 9 in 2020.
