Fire burns down 23 homes in Patuakhali

Twenty-three houses were gutted in a fire which broke out at  Charpara in Patuakhali district town on Tuesday.


Md Rezwan, station officer of Patuakhali fire service and civil defence, said the fire broke out at a tin-shed house near Wayejia Kamil Madrasha around 1:30 pm and spread soon.

On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 3:30 pm, reports UNB.

However, what caused the fire could not be known immediately and the extent of the damage caused by the fire could not be ascertained yet.
