Two children drown in Noakhali

Two children drowned in a pond at Dakshin Char Clerk village under Subarnachar upazila of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Pakhi Akter, 7, daughter of Monu Mia, a day labourer of Dakshin Char Clerk village, and Alisha Akter, 7, daughter of Saifur Rahman Masud of the same village. Both were students of Fakir Market Nurani Madrasah, reports BSS.

Officer-in-Charge of Char Jabbar Police Station Mohammad Shahin Mia said the two children went to the pond to take a bath. As they did not know how to swim, they drowned.
