He breathed his last at Anwar Khan Medical College Hospital around 1:30 pm.

Mohiuddin had fallen critically ill at his residence on May 30 and was admitted to hospital immediately. Though his condition initially improved and he was discharged, his health deteriorated again last week, prompting his re-admission.

Doctors reported that he was suffering from a severe electrolyte imbalance, with abnormal levels of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and chloride. He also faced respiratory complications, urinary difficulties, and unstable blood pressure.

His wife predeceased him four years ago. The family said details of his survivors and funeral arrangements will be announced soon.

Tributes poured in from fellow journalists, media organisations, and public figures, remembering him as a principled professional and a steadfast voice for truth.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
